Paros is the fourth largest island in the Cyclades, with a coastal perimeter of about 120 miles and approximately 12,000 inhabitants. Paros produces barley, olive oil, famous vinegar, honey, well known cheeses “kefalograviera” and “xynomizithra” most of which are still produced by traditional methods.
One of the most notable items of local produce is the high quality wines. Paros is also famous since the ancient times for the white marble, that was used in memorable sculptures of antiquity like Ermis of Praxitelous and Afrodite of Milos, contributed a lot to the economical development of the island through the centuries.
